Article Processing Charge (APC) Statement

1. Fee Structure

The Journal of Education, Behavior and Humanities (JEBH)  charges a flat rate of USD 1,200 for each manuscript accepted for publication.

  • Submission Fee: USD 0 (Free). We do not charge for submission or initial screening.

  • Publication Fee: USD 1,200. This fee applies only after a manuscript has successfully passed peer review and received official acceptance.

2. What the APC Covers
As an open-access journal, we do not charge readers or institutions for subscriptions. The APC supports essential publishing services, including:

  • Editorial Management: Coordination of peer review and editorial board oversight.

  • Production & Formatting: Professional copyediting, typesetting, and PDF preparation.

  • Digital Archiving: Long-term preservation in global databases.

  • Global Distribution: Maintenance of high-speed, secure servers for 24/7 worldwide access.

3. Payment Responsibility
The APC is typically covered by:

  • The author’s university or institution.

  • A research grant or funding body.

  • The authors themselves (in cases of independent or unfunded research).

4. Waivers and Discounts
As a journal dedicated to college students and early-career researchers, we aim to minimize financial barriers to publishing high-quality work.

  • Low-Income Economies: Authors based in World Bank-classified low-income countries may qualify for a full or partial waiver.

  • Student Hardship: Students or researchers without institutional funding may apply for a discretionary discount.

  • Application: Waiver requests must be submitted at the time of initial submission and are assessed independently of the editorial review to ensure fairness.

5. Refund Policy
Once an article has been published or entered the final production stage, the APC is non-refundable. Fees will not be reimbursed if an article is later retracted due to author error or misconduct, in accordance with COPE guidelines.
