Research and Publication Ethics

As a member of COPE, we fully adhere to its Core Practices and Guidelines. Frontiers in Technology and Engineering Integration (FTEI) maintains the highest standards of publication ethics. By following the standards set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), we ensure that our editorial processes are transparent, fair, and held to a global benchmark of integrity.

1. Ethical Oversight (COPE Compliance)

As a COPE member, FTEI operates under the COPE Core Practices. This includes:

  • Journal Management: Maintaining professional policies for handling complaints and appeals.

  • Intellectual Property: Providing clear guidelines on copyright and licensing.

  • Peer Review: Ensuring a robust, double-blind review process that is free from bias.

2. Author Responsibilities

  • Originality & Plagiarism: Authors must submit only original work. FTEI uses industry-standard software to screen for plagiarism and follows COPE flowcharts when addressing suspected plagiarism in submitted or published articles.

  • Data Integrity: Fabrication or falsification of data constitutes a breach of ethical conduct.

  • Authorship: Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution. All authors must approve the final version of the manuscript before submission.

3. Reviewer and Editor Responsibilities

  • Neutrality: Editors and reviewers must evaluate manuscripts based on scientific merit alone, without regard to the author's race, gender, nationality, or institutional affiliation.

  • Conflict of Interest: All parties involved in the review process must disclose any potential conflicts of interest.

  • Confidentiality: The peer review process is strictly confidential. Reviewers must not use or share any data, ideas, or content from unpublished manuscripts.

4. Handling Misconduct

In cases of alleged or proven scientific misconduct, fraudulent publication, or plagiarism, the publisher and the FTEI Editorial Board will take appropriate measures to clarify the situation and address the article in question. This may include issuing a correction, an expression of concern, or, in the most serious cases, retracting the work in accordance with COPE guidelines.
