Abstract

Wearable technology has emerged as a transformative tool in clinical operations, offering real-time monitoring, personalized care, and improved patient engagement. This paper reviews current innovations and applications of wearable devices in healthcare, including sensors for vital signs, continuous glucose monitoring, cardiac monitoring, and rehabilitation. Clinical applications span inpatient monitoring, chronic disease management, telemedicine, and preventive health programs. Challenges related to data accuracy, interoperability, patient privacy, and clinical workflow integration are discussed. The paper also examines the impact of wearable technologies on clinical decision-making, patient outcomes, and healthcare efficiency. By synthesizing recent research and practical implementations, the study provides a comprehensive overview of wearable technology’s role in modern healthcare, highlighting opportunities for innovation and future directions.
